Patrick Peterson – CB

After last week, Patrick Peterson should send a giant Thank You card in the mail to Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson. On Green Bay’s very first play of their opening offensive drive, Watson smoked past Peterson, and he would’ve had a 75-yard touchdown reception if he didn’t let the football sail right through his hands.

Even after catching this break, Minnesota’s No. 1 corner still didn’t play that well in the team’s win over the Packers. Peterson’s coverage was targeted six times last week and he allowed four catches for 51 yards according to PFF. He was also the Vikings’ lowest-graded cornerback by PFF against Green Bay between him, Cameron Dantzler, and Chandon Sullivan.

Peterson’s underwhelming performance in Week 1 came against an inexperienced Packers receiving corps. On Monday, he’ll likely be matched up with Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown a bunch, so the veteran corner needs to tighten up his play quickly or else he’s probably going to be picked apart by Philadelphia.
