Jordan Hicks – LB

When looking at the stat sheet, some might be confused about why Jordan Hicks is on this list since he had a sack and he led the Vikings in tackles last week with 14.

This is true, however, Hicks also led Minnesota in missed tackles last weekend with two in addition to giving up eight catches for 88 yards when in he was in pass coverage according to PFF.

If the Vikings are going to prevent Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts from finding success with his legs on Monday night, Minnesota is going to need guys like Hicks to be performing at their peak.

Based on the linebacker’s performance in Week 1, Hurts shouldn’t have any trouble breaking an attempted tackle by Hicks or throwing to a receiver who is being covered by the Vikings defender.

Performing well in the NFL is more than just racking up tackles, and Minnesota needs a better showing from Hicks in Week 2 if they’re going to get a victory over Philadelphia.
