Ed Ingram – RG

Since he’s a rookie, most expected Vikings first-year right guard Ed Ingram to struggle at times during the 2022 season. But the rookie struggles for Ingram have apparently begun immediately.

Minnesota’s rookie right guard actually finished with the team’s fourth-highest offensive grade from PFF in Week 1, but this was mostly due to what he was able to do as a run blocker. When it came to pass blocking against the Packers, Ingram was abysmal.

Last weekend, the Vikings rookie gave up a sack, and he allowed a total of five pressures according to PFF. If Ingram wants to keep his starting job, his performance as a pass blocker has to get better.

Things might not get to improve much in Week 2 for Minnesota’s young offensive lineman as he’ll be tasked with blocking guys like Fletcher Cox and Jordan Davis. At the same time, if Ingram is able to perform better as a pass-blocker against the Eagles, then any questions about him remaining in the starting lineup will begin to disappear.
