Kirk Cousins will throw for over 300 yards against the Eagles
At 2-9, Kirk Cousins has the worst Monday Night Football record in NFL history. But Monday’s matchup could play to his advantage.
Cousins has been elite when facing the Eagles, compiling a 6-2 record with both losses coming during the 2017 season. Cousins has also been elite in those games, racking up 291 yards per game with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Philadelphia was solid against the passing game in their Week 1 victory against Detroit, but there are areas where the Vikings can take advantage. The Eagles allowed Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to rack up eight catches, 64 yards, and a touchdown and Jared Goff threw for 215 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick against Philadelphia’s defense.
Minnesota won’t take a one-dimensional approach against Philadelphia, but they should be able to put up a monster game. If Cousins can avoid his Monday night demons, it should be a big night for the Vikings passing game.
