Lewis Cine will make his debut

Lewis Cine is expected to make his debut on Monday night, but it’s not clear what role he will play against the Eagles. Cine played behind Camryn Bynum for a majority of the preseason and didn’t make an impact when he was in the game.

The optimist would say that Cine’s lack of an impact would be a good thing. The other side would be skeptical considering that the Vikings selected him with the 32nd overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

The reality is that Minnesota has plenty of options on how to use Cine. His elite relative athletic score shows that he can be used in a variety of ways. Ed Donatell’s defense has also allowed room for three safeties can be used at the same time.

It’s possible that the Vikings may try to ease Cine in with a special teams role. But Minnesota wants to attack and Cine may be the perfect player to be a wildcard in Donatell’s scheme.
