Dalvin Cook – RB

Dalvin Cook always seems to get a pass, but it is time to put some attention his way when it comes to disappointing play. Sure he was criminally underused against the Eagles, but when he did get some targets and touches, he faltered on his own plenty of times.

Cook often gets tackled by the turf monster, and it happened again on Monday. Not sure why this tends to happen to him, but there are many times when he is hitting a hole and stumbles and then falls to the ground without really taking a hit. It’s happened too frequently to be considered a fluke and is quietly becoming a concern.

Cook did catch four balls on the night for 19 yards but also had a couple of drops sprinkled in. That happened to many of the Vikings on Monday, but Cook is one of the starters, and he needs to make those catches. He also needs to do something to spark this team back to life.

Whether it is busting a tackle and breaking off a long run, or catching the ball on a screen and making something out of nothing. Cook gets paid too much to go two games now without a huge play that ends in points or at least swings momentum.

Overall, Cook wasn’t the problem, and he wasn’t fed enough. But he has to do more with his opportunities, especially when things start going south for the team.
