Kirk Cousins – QB

Welp, any hopes of Kirk Cousins overcoming his career-defining “Monday Night Football” woes can safely be put to rest, forever. The Vikings quarterback had high expectations heading into what was supposed to be one of the most offensively stacked games of the week, and he metaphorically choked until he turned bright purple.

Cousins’ night will be remembered for his three interceptions, and that’s how it should be. Now, he’s not the only reason Minnesota lost, but he certainly highlights the top three reasons.

He finished the game with 46 total pass attempts, completing 27 of them for 221 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball twice for 20 yards, but those extra two fantasy points couldn’t salvage a very forgettable performance.

This night shouldn’t completely deter fantasy managers from starting him in their lineups, but they may want to see what other options are available when the Vikings face strong secondary units in the future.

Cousins faces the Lions next week in what should be a high-scoring affair, and he is expected to bounce back as he won’t have Eagles cornerback Darius Slay putting a padlock on his receivers. He can be started in lineups that don’t have a mobile QB on the roster.
