Chandon Sullivan – CB

The Vikings’ cornerback play has been a major issue so far this young 2022 season. We already have Cam Dantzler on this list, and now he’s joined by fellow cover man Chandon Sullivan. Sullivan had himself a really bad game against the Lions, and there were multiple times his ineptitude shined bright like a diamond.

The first play was when the Lions went for it on 4th-and-5 in the first quarter. They hit Amon-Ra St. Brown on a crosser, and there was no one near him. Eventually, we saw Sullivan come racing out from the far corner, but it was far too late, and St. Brown nearly scored on the play.

Later in the game, T.J. Hockenson scored on an easy red zone pass, and on that play, Sullivan was seen rolling on the ground. It’s hard to recall if he tripped or was thrown down, but he was definitely a non-factor either way.

Sullivan also failed to bring down Jamal Williams on one of his touchdown runs, electing to just stick a hand out instead of sticking his shoulder in there and laying a hit.

The Vikings’ coverage has been an issue this season, and while lack of pass rush is partly to blame, sloppy play like we saw from Sullivan is another reason.
