Cam Dantzler – CB

After looking impressive enough in his first-ever training camp with the Vikings to open the 2020 regular season as one of the team’s starting cornerbacks, Cam Dantzler‘s tenure with the franchise has been a bit up and down.

Overall, Dantzler’s numbers with Minnesota have been pretty solid. As a rookie in 2020, he graded as PFF’s 22nd-best cornerback in the NFL, and last season, he graded as the 17th-best corner in the league.

But then he’s also had some glaring brainfarts at critical times out on the field during his Vikings career. This has continued into the current season as a mistake by Dantzler in Week 2 led to the Philadelphia Eagles scoring a long touchdown.

With rookie Andrew Booth Jr. potentially getting close to returning from his injury, Dantzler could become expendable. If Dantzler continues to make more head-scratching plays during the next few weeks, could Minnesota attempt to see what they might be able to get in a trade for the young corner?
