3 unsung heroes from the Vikings win over the Saints in week 4

Greg Joseph – K
Greg Joseph has brought stabilization to the kicking position that Minnesota has not had in quite some time.
Even though Joseph was 0-for-2 on his field-goal attempts against the Detroit Lions in Week 3, both of his kicks being from over 50 yards away would have been a tough task for just about any kicker not named Justin Tucker.
Joseph redeemed himself in a big way against the Saints in Week 4, as he went 5-for-5 on his field-goal attempts, including one in the final minute of the game that secured a three-point victory for the Vikings.
While Minnesota’s fans were upset with the team for struggling in the red zone against New Orleans, Joseph went out and did his job to near perfection when his name was called with his only miscue being a missed extra-point try. Even with this missed extra point, Joseph redeemed himself with the game-winning kick from 47 yards out in the fourth quarter.
Joseph gives Vikings fans confidence in their kicker, and even though it’s much better to see the team score touchdowns at the end of their offensive drives, it’s a good feeling knowing they have a reliable kicker on their side to get them three points.
An unsung hero this whole season, Joseph earned himself more praise this past weekend by leading Minnesota in scoring during a win.
