Minnesota will clobber the Bears on Sunday

With the exception of the season opener against the Packers, the Vikings have been playing Mike Zimmer football without the results. The wins against the Lions and Saints could be nitpicked, but it’s also an indication that Kevin O’Connell’s team has yet to play its best football.

That day could be coming on Sunday as the Bears march into Minneapolis with a roster more likely to earn a top-five pick rather than win the division. Chicago has done well to earn a 2-2 record through this point of the season but they’re not a team with staying power.

The pendulum should swing against the Vikings if they keep playing as they have, but Sunday doesn’t figure to be the time. Minnesota has too much talent to lose at home to the Bears, and it should result in a blowout victory that should make everyone breathe a little easier.

Prediction: Vikings win 31-10
