What are some of the best Minnesota Vikings prop bets to take a chance on when the team faces off against the Chicago Bears in Week 5?

For the third time in their first five games of the 2022 season, the Minnesota Vikings are taking on an NFC North opponent this weekend. This time, the Vikings will host the Chicago Bears inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Minnesota is coming off their second-straight victory while the Bears are coming off a road loss to the New York Giants. Will the Vikings be able to extend their winning streak to three games on Sunday?

For those who are interested in more than just the result of this week’s matchup in the Twin Cities, we’ve got a few prop bets that should have a good chance of hitting during Sunday’s action between the Vikings and Bears.

Best Minnesota Vikings prop bets for Week 5 vs. the Chicago Bears

Kirk Cousins Prop Bets:

  • OVER 1.5 rushing yards (-110)

Now, Kirk Cousins is not exactly known for having any success with his legs. However, opposing quarterbacks have been able to run on Chicago this season, so Minnesota might try to see if they can exploit this weakness on Sunday.

In four games this year, the Bears are allowing opposing quarterbacks to average six yards per rushing attempt, and Chicago has allowed the second-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks in the NFL this season.

All Cousins needs is two yards to hit the over this week. He’s averaged 4.9 rushing yards in his last 10 home games, so two yards on the ground doesn’t seem like a lot to ask.

  • OVER 0.5 interceptions (+116)

This isn’t any sort of declaration that Cousins is going to have a bad performance on Sunday. But this is more about making a wager on some factors that indicate it might be a good bet to make.

First off, with Cousins, he’s thrown four interceptions in his last three games, and according to PFF, he’s had a total of six turnover-worthy plays in the last three weeks as well.

Combine this with the fact that the Bears‘ defense is picking off an average of one pass per game this season, which includes the three interceptions they forced in their last two matchups, and the chance of Cousins throwing it to the wrong team on Sunday feels higher than most Vikings fans would like.

Dalvin Cook Prop Bet:

  • OVER 17.5 rushing attempts (-130)

Entering Week 5, Dalvin Cook‘s numbers are probably not as high as he would like them to be, but any struggles he’s having are definitely not due to a lack of touches. Cook is getting plenty of opportunities this season as he’s averaging 18 touches per game.

The Minnesota running back should continue to get the football in his hands this weekend as he’s facing a Chicago defense that is the worst in the NFL this season against the run.

An opposing running back has finished with 18 rushing attempts or more in each of the Bears’ last three matchups, and we should expect Cook to be the next to join this group on Sunday.
