In Week 6, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking for their fourth win in a row as they travel southeast to take on a solid Miami Dolphins team.

It’s only been five games, but the Kevin O’Connell era for the Minnesota Vikings is off to a great start. The Vikings are off to their best start since 2016, and they’re on track to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2019 season.

At the same time, there is a lot of football left to be played, and we’ve seen a season spiral out of control for Minnesota in the past. Let’s just hope the Vikings continue to play at a high level under O’Connell as they have during the first five weeks.

Minnesota’s next challenge will be a road matchup against the 3-2 Miami Dolphins. Will the Vikings be able to extend their win streak to four games, or will the Dolphins send them back to the Twin Cities with their second loss of the season?

Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins prediction Week 6

On Wednesday, Miami head coach Mike McDaniel announced that the team is expected to start rookie Skylar Thompson at quarterback against the Vikings this week.

Minnesota should be able to take advantage of Thompson’s inexperience, and hopefully, they will be able to pressure the young quarterback enough to force him to commit a few turnovers.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Vikings will be taking on a Dolphins defense that has allowed the fourth-most points in the NFL this season, including 40 in their loss to the New York Jets last week.

Minnesota, who has averaged 28.3 points per game in the last three weeks, should be able to take advantage of a Miami defense that clearly has plenty of weaknesses.

    Prediction: Vikings win
