Bradley Chubb – EDGE

2022 Team: Denver Broncos

This past offseason, the Vikings added edge rusher Za’Darius Smith in free agency to help with their adjustment to a 3-4 defensive alignment. With the possibility of Danielle Hunter not returning in 2023, Minnesota might need to turn to free agency again next year to add another edge rusher.

If Hunter ends up deciding to explore the free-agent market after the current season, then Bradley Chubb would be a great option for the Vikings to replace him with.

Chubb, a former top-five draft pick, has spent the last five years with the Broncos, including three with Ed Donatell as his defensive coordinator.

This season, the Denver pass-rusher is off to a great start. In five games, Chubb has generated 5.5 sacks and 19 pressures while also posting PFF’s fifth-best pass-rushing grade in the NFL.

Injuries have caused him to miss more than 20 games in the last four seasons, so that is certainly a concern. But at 26-years-old, Chubb still has enough upside that he would be worth taking a risk on in free agency.
