The win on Sunday by the Minnesota Vikings was a little sweeter as the Green Bay Packers also lost in their Week 6 matchup with the New York Jets.

With their defeat of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings not only kept ahold of their lead in the NFC North, but their lead in the division increased by another game thanks to the New York Jets handing the Green Bay Packers a loss on Sunday as well.

With this weekend’s results, the 5-1 Vikings currently have a two-game lead over the 3-3 Packers, who have now lost each of their last two games (coincidentally, both to a pair of New York teams).

Yes, it’s still early in the 2022 season, and a lot can happen between now and Week 18 in January. But after the first six weeks of the year, Minnesota has a firm grip on first place in the NFC North.

New York Jets CB Sauce Gardner makes Minnesota Vikings fans proud with trolling of Green Bay Packers

Despite playing in their home building on Sunday, Green Bay suffered a 17-point loss to the up-and-coming Jets. The matchup was tied 3-3 at the half, but then in the final two quarters, New York wound up outscoring the Packers 24-7.

Following the game, Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner had a little fun at the expense of Green Bay fans as he sported the team’s infamous dairy headwear.

Packers fans aren’t happy about Sunday’s loss and Gardner’s trolling certainly isn’t going to make them any less happy.

But for Vikings fans, and for anyone else that enjoys watching Green Bay lose, the actions of the New York cornerback after the game are hilarious.

Minnesota will face Gardner and the Jets inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 13. Based on what he did on Sunday, let’s hope the Vikings can get a win over New York in their matchup later this season, or else we might have to watch Gardner do the SKOL chant after the game.
