The Vikings are showing us something that the team has greatly needed in recent years, and that is their pass-rushing depth.

D.J. Wonnum is off to a hot start to the season as a rotational linebacker behind Danielle Hunter and Za’Darius Smith, but he missed this past game due to an illness. In stepped Patrick Jones II.

While the big dogs, Hunter and Smith, had themselves a spectacular game, Jones pieced together an impressive performance in his own right. The young Minnesota pass rusher ended the contest in Miami with four pressures, which were two quarterback hits and two sacks.

On plays where Hunter or Smith have to leave the field, it’s a welcome sight that the Vikings have players behind them who are ready to contribute. Jones did his fair share of contributing for Minnesota in Week 6, earning himself a big pat on the back for his performance.
