Ryan Wright – P

After Ryan Wright‘s latest game against Miami, he is deserving of more respect. Punters are people too!

Wright heard his name called early and often in Week 6, being used to punt a staggering 10 times for Minnesota. The highlight of the day for Wright was an absolutely booming punt that he unleashed from his own end zone. It flew 73 yards in the air and it flipped the field in a big way.

After an abysmal 15-yard punt from Wright in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears, The Vikings’ rookie punter stepped up his game against the Dolphins in a big way, with an average of 44.1 yards per punt.

With six of Wright’s 10 punts placing Miami within their own 20-yard line, he played a big role in forcing the Dolphins’ offense to start drives with less-than-favorable field position.

While this contest featured a solid performance from the rookie, a 10-punt game is something that Vikings fans are hoping to never see again, even if this one resulted in a win.
