Noah Fant or Will Dissly – TEs (Seattle Seahawks)

The tight end position has been an absolute mess for the Vikings ever since Kyle Rudolph left town. Irv Smith Jr. was supposed to fill in, but injuries slowed his development, and he is a shell of what he was as a prospect.

The combination of Smith and Johnny Mundt has been disappointing up to this point in the season. Both players have dropped catchable balls and killed drives in their tracks without really adding many positives.

It seems like the Vikings should at least consider a trade for a tight end and they have a perfect match in Seattle. Currently, the Seahawks have two tight ends that rank third and fourth on the roster in receiving, but neither guy has truly taken hold of the job.

Given the Seahawks’ standing and inevitable rebuild, trading any meaningful asset that has a replacement already in-house seems like a sound investment. Minnesota should pick up the phones and reach out regarding Noah Fant and Will Dissly.

Fant has 19 catches for 150 yards and a score this season while Dissly has 16 catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Geno Smith has been able to utilize both of his tight ends in a way that has given them a chance to showcase themselves for contenders at the deadline.

Assuming the price is reasonable, this is a direction the Vikings could take. Irv Smith could then be flipped via another trade or be part of the package to land his replacement.
