Predicting the rest of the 2022 season for the Vikings and their NFC North rivals
By Adam Carlson
Weeks 1-7
It was expected that the Bears would be a bottom-of-the-barrel team in 2022 due to a lack of talent, yet Chicago has somehow found three wins in the first seven weeks of the season to exceed expectations.
Although they are overachieving, don’t expect the Bears to creep into the playoff picture this year or contend for the division. However, they can enjoy knowing they have proven to doubters that they can win games that nobody expects them to win.
MVP: Khalil Herbert, RB – 75 carries for 464 yards and 3 rush TDs
Chicago is at their best when it can dominate the ground game. Herbert’s 6.2 yards per carry is evidence of that along with Justin Fields picking up 364 yards from scrimmage using his legs. On the year, the Bears have 1,267 rushing yards already.
Record Prediction: 5-12
Tough games will keep the Bears from being the spoilers of the NFC North but with four division games left, they will have an opportunity to have a say in who represents the division in the playoffs this year.
