Minnesota will win a close game at U.S. Bank Stadium

Got you with the cliffhanger there, didn’t I?

There are a lot of reasons to believe that the Vikings’ 5-1 record is a mirage, but there’s just enough to believe that they’re here to stay. The Vikings have built some much-needed equity under Kevin O’Connell, and with a bye week to iron out the kinks, they should be a more focused team on Sunday.

Arizona is a better opponent than its 3-4 record indicates, but it’s the type of team the Vikings will have to beat if they want to be a contender in the NFC. Minnesota will be challenged over the next couple of weeks, but if they can beat the Cardinals, it would go a long way in believing they’re legit.

The Vikings have had a lot of things go their way in the first six weeks and with their first home game at U.S. Bank Stadium in three weeks, they should be able to get a win and head to Washington at 6-1.

Prediction: Vikings win 31-28
