When celebrating a turnover on Sunday, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson mocked Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.
We knew that Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson was going to be fired up to face Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday since the veteran defensive back spent the first 10 years of his NFL career in the desert.
Minnesota ended up getting the win over the Cardinals on Sunday and Peterson had multiple opportunities to celebrate against his former team. Most notably, the moment when the Vikings corner celebrated with his teammates following a Murray interception.

Arizona Cardinals fans are mad at Minnesota Vikings CB Patrick Peterson for making fun of Kyler Murray
Peterson was obviously poking fun at Murray, who is a member of the FaZe Clan, a professional esports organization. The Cardinals quarterback has also been criticized online for possibly letting his gaming have a negative impact on his performance out on the football field.
Well, Arizona fans saw this celebration from Peterson, and needless to say, they weren’t exactly thrilled.
@P2 shows what little class he actually has and his ego is still bitter after being paid so well to play a kids game

Nobody has thought about Patrick Peterson since he's left. So him taunting now is laughable.

After the game, Peterson was asked about his celebration and what game he was pretending to play. The veteran corner had a perfect answer.
I asked Patrick Peterson what game he was pretending to play with his video-game celebration: “I think it’s called Call of Duty? I’m not much of a gamer. Heard it just came out.”

It’s not shocking that Arizona fans are angry at Peterson for his celebration on Sunday. At the same time, they should probably be more mad at their favorite team for losing this weekend instead of someone that used to play for the Cardinals.
Peterson had clearly been waiting for this game ever since the schedule was released earlier this year. In addition to his celebration, the Vikings corner performed very well out on the field against Arizona as he broke up three passes and racked up four tackles.
For Peterson’s efforts on Sunday, Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell awarded the veteran cornerback with a game ball. O’Connell also gave a game ball to Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks, who spent his previous three seasons with the Cardinals.
