Thielen is still a big weapon

The emergence of Justin Jefferson has been amazing to watch but it has left Adam Thielen out in the cold at times. This week, he sprung back into action when the defense was clearly keying in on Jefferson.

Thielen saw seven targets on Sunday, catching six of them for 67 yards. It was nice to see him and Kirk Cousins back on the same page again since more great targets for the quarterback means it will be more likely to complete passes in Important situations.

Jefferson still got eight targets and caught six for 98 yards, and having a few more balls thrown his way wouldn’t be bad. but having four players with five or more targets is a great way to spread the ball around and not be so predictable.

He may be getting older and Justin Jefferson might be the shiny new toy, but there is still a ton of mileage the Minnesota Vikings can get out of Adam Thielen this season and possibly for a few more seasons to come.
