Minnesota’s grip on the division is pretty tight
Once again, the Minnesota Vikings won while the rest of the division struggled. Looking at the NFC North standings paints a clear picture.
- Vikings: 6-1
- Packers: 3-5
- Bears: 3-5
- Lions: 1-6
Seeing the Minnesota Vikings as the only team in the division with a winning record has to feel good, and so does knowing the purple and gold are 3-0 against division foes. All this adds up to a great chance at winning the NFC North.
Winning the division is great because you don’t have to worry about the records of other teams in the conference. Accomplishing that will assure the Vikings a playoff spot.
Winning the NFC North and making the playoffs in his first season would be a huge accomplishment for first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell, likely cementing his place with the team for many more years.
