Ed Ingram – RG

Ed Ingram has had a rough go of it lately, and there was some hope that the bye week would do him good. Unfortunately, the little break didn’t seem to help him, as he was dominated all day long by future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt.

Watt simply had his way with the rookie all game long. He beat him with speed, he beat him with power, and he beat him with technique. Ingram was no match for Watt, and it was evident from the get-go. His poor play lead to big plays that kept the Cardinals in this game longer than they should’ve been.

Ingram is a rookie and has clearly hit a wall. He has struggled badly for about three straight games, easily becoming the weakest link on this much-improved Vikings’ offensive line. If the Vikings’ weren’t winning, there’d likely be a lot more noise about the team yanking him and going with someone else.

The Vikings are likely content with having Ingram hang in there and continue to battle and learn. If he ends up costing the team a victory, they may sit him for a spell, but for now, they will roll with the punches and hope he figures it out soon.
