Predicting the Vikings next five games after blistering 6-1 start in 2022
By Dean Jones
Minnesota Vikings at Bills
This was the most daunting contest on the Minnesota Vikings schedule prior to the season and nothing’s changed to suggest otherwise through Week 8. The Buffalo Bills look primed for another potential AFC title challenge as Sean McDermott looks to finally get his team over the hump and into the Super Bowl after some near misses in recent years.
This is a solid measuring stick for the Vikings. One that could determine whether or not this is an elite team or how much more might be needed.
It’ll also be the first time they’ve competed competitively against star wide receiver Stefon Diggs since his acrimonious departure via trade.
The former Maryland standout was responsible for one of the greatest moments in franchise history with his historic touchdown catch against the New Orleans Saints. Things ended sourly soon after and the wideout will be looking to hurt Minnesota in whatever way possible.
Playing in Buffalo is never easy at the best of times. But with temperatures dropping and the Bills Mafia becoming louder than ever, this is going to be a hostile atmosphere that Kirk Cousins and his squad must be ready for.
Prediction: Loss (7-2)
Even though the Vikings are in tremendous form, one would be hard-pressed to predict anything other than defeat at the Bills.
