5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Commanders – Week 9
By Chris Schad
Cousins and O’Connell will win in their return to Washington
The Vikings and Commanders come into Sunday’s game riding winning streaks, but Minnesota should be able to come out on top.
Washington has responded well in the wake of Carson Wentz’s injury, but the teams they’ve played during their winning streak aren’t high-level competition, as the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers are two of the most disappointing teams in the league, and the Chicago Bears have entered tank mode.
That being said, Sunday’s game figures to be a low-scoring one, and if the Vikings aren’t careful, they could wind up with the same fate the Packers received in their Week 7 loss at FedEx Field.
The Vikings seem to be focused, however, which should lead them to their sixth straight win and could set up a showdown with two 7-1 teams in Buffalo next week.
Prediction: Vikings win 24-17
