Kirk Cousins is out of control after beating his former team in Week 9
By Adam Patrick
Following Sunday’s win over the Washington Commanders, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins used his trademark “you like that” saying to celebrate.
Before Kirk Cousins was even a member of the Minnesota Vikings, he gained leaguewide fame, not just with his play on the field with the Washington Commanders, but for infamously screaming, “you like that!” after a comeback win in 2015.
Well, following the Vikings’ big comeback victory over the Commanders on Sunday, there was only one thing that Cousins knew he had to do once he got back to the locker room.
Washington Commanders fans quickly learn to not taunt Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings
Before this weekend’s matchup between Minnesota and Washington came to a close, the Commanders fans thought it would be a good idea to chant “you like that” after Cousins’ interception in the first half.
This turned out to just be the latest example of an opposing fan base learning that they’re better off not mocking a Vikings-related chant or saying, as Washington, of course, went on to lose Sunday’s contest.
Cousins also wasn’t done celebrating once Minnesota left the locker room inside FedEx Field on Sunday. Once the Vikings got on their plane to head back to the Twin Cities, the veteran quarterback made the temperature a little cooler by sporting multiple diamond chains around his neck.
Cousins and the Vikings are certainly enjoying this season to the fullest. And why shouldn’t they? Minnesota is 7-1 after the first nine weeks of the 2022 campaign, and with the Buffalo Bills losing on Sunday, the Vikings now have the second-best record in the entire NFL, behind only the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
The hiring of Kevin O’Connell as the team’s new head coach has turned out to be a great decision for Minnesota so far, and the team has its whole fan base excited to see what is going to happen next.
