7 biggest takeaways from the Vikings win vs. Commanders in Week 9

Interior linebackers are tackling machines
It’s great that the edge rushers of the Minnesota Vikings are thriving this season. since Danielle Hunter and Za’Darius Smith combine for 13.5 sacks through the first nine weeks of the season. The team has also dealt with injuries on the defensive line.
The second line of defense for the Vikings has been amazing this season. Linebacker Jordan Hicks led the team in tackles against the Commanders with 12 while Eric Kendricks was second with nine.
This duo of interior linebackers has been instrumental in limiting opponents’ runs as well as yards after the catch, helping the team stay competitive in close games and giving the offense opportunities to close out games strong.
Over the course of the last few years, these duties have rested on the shoulders of Kendricks alone and now with the two of them holding down the middle of the field. opponents have some solid tacklers to worry about and keep them from breaking off huge plays.
