Minnesota winning in Week 9 against the Commanders and losses by the Packers and Bears clears the path even more for the Vikings to win the NFC North and represent the division in the postseason.
There may still be doubters out there about whether or not the Minnesota Vikings are realistic contenders to make a run at a Super Bowl appearance. But so far the purple and gold have only lost one game and that team is the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
Many of the other teams in the NFC all have obvious weaknesses or are all clumped with middle-of-the-road win-loss records. Meanwhile, Minnesota is thriving through the first nine weeks of the season.
The division is in shambles while a team with a first-year head coach and a new offense as well as a transitioning defense is thriving. The purple and gold might lose a few more games along the way, but it would be surprising to see them collapse and fall out of the playoff picture,
