4 most disappointing Vikings in the win over the Commanders in Week 9
By Nik Edlund
Who are the members of the Minnesota Vikings that didn’t have their best performance in the team’s Week 9 win over the Washington Commanders?
The Minnesota Vikings went on the road to the Nation’s capital in Week 9 and they came away with another nail-biting victory. The Vikings’ defense played their hearts out all game long, but a fluke play involving a referee getting in the way allowed the Washington Commanders to take the lead and almost steal a victory.
Minnesota pass rusher Danielle Hunter was a star in this one with a couple of sacks. Vikings rookie cornerback Akayleb Evans was thrust into duty after Cam Dantzler got hurt and made a handful of plays, and Harrison Smith got his third straight interception, which led to Minnesota getting the tying touchdown.
Offensively, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson had a big day, as did newcomer T.J. Hockenson, who hauled in all nine of his targets. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins played tough, making clutch throws while facing extreme pressure and taking plenty of hits.
Those were the guys who stepped up in this one for the Vikings, and now it’s time to talk about the members of the team who weren’t so great in Week 9.
