FS1’s Joy Taylor might have the absolute worst take about the Minnesota Vikings when it comes to their win on Sunday over the Buffalo Bills.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins would be the first to admit he didn’t have the best performance of his NFL career during the team’s Week 10 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

However, Cousins still delivered some very impressive throws when the Vikings needed him the most in Buffalo, and Minnesota wouldn’t have been able to defeat the Bills this past weekend if not for some of the chances that their quarterback took down the field.

Despite the Vikings going into a Super Bowl favorite’s home stadium and earning a victory, there are still people who aren’t ready to give them the respect they deserve.

Analyst delivers terrible Kirk Cousins take following Minnesota Vikings win over Buffalo Bills

Among those who aren’t willing to buy into Minnesota being a threat in the NFC just yet is FS1’s Joy Taylor. On Monday’s episode of FS1’s “Speak”, Taylor had the following to say about Cousins and the Vikings following their performance in Buffalo on Sunday.

It’s fine if people still don’t want to believe in the Vikings as being legitimate championship contenders this season. It is what it is, and these people were likely never going to believe in Minnesota anyways.

But Taylor basically saying that the Bills lost the game on their own and the Vikings won in spite of Cousins couldn’t be more wrong.

Yes, Cousins made plenty of mistakes during the contest, no one is denying that. But he also helped lead Minnesota down the field during the final minutes of the fourth quarter and in overtime to ultimately get the Vikings a win.

She was fine with crediting Justin Jefferson‘s performance, but apparently, it didn’t matter that Cousins was the one making the throws. Taylor basically acted like Christian Ponder was quarterbacking Minnesota on Sunday, and Jefferson’s receiving yards were only gained after the catch.

No, Cousins made several very impressive throws in Buffalo during a number of crucial moments. The Vikings’ quarterback might not have gotten off to a great start on Sunday, but he was able to make up for it when he continuously found Jefferson down the field to extend drives in the second half.

This really just feels like an example of someone who is using the same old lazy Kirk Cousins narratives that people tend to fall back on when they don’t want to give Minnesota their proper credit. But to say Cousins did everything he could to give the game away to the Bills on Sunday, as Taylor did, couldn’t be more wrong.
