Vikings have given Odell Beckham Jr. the ultimate sales pitch

With their win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, did the Minnesota Vikings just become a more enticing landing spot for Odell Beckham Jr. this season?

A day before Sunday’s matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that prized free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is hoping to sign with a team by the end of November.

Schefter also added that Beckham’s current list of teams he would like to sign with includes the Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers.

There have been some rumblings in the recent past about the Vikings having interest in signing Beckham this season. Did Minnesota possibly just get added to the receiver’s shortlist of potential teams with their win over the Bills on Sunday?

With their victory over Buffalo on Sunday, the Vikings now have a better record than every team that is reportedly on Beckham‘s shortlist of potential landing spots. Minnesota is clearly a contender in the NFC this season and there are multiple reasons why the purple and gold would be a great fit for the veteran receiver.

Beckham has had a friendship with Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson for a number of years, the free-agent pass-catcher just worked with Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell when they both helped the Los Angeles Rams win a Super Bowl last season, and the Vikings are currently on a path to competing for a championship this year.

Minnesota not only proved their doubters wrong on Sunday with their win, but they made a great sales pitch to Beckham and any other big-name free agents that are still available.

If the veteran wide receiver wants to try and win a Super Bowl for the second season in a row, signing with the Vikings seems like it would be a good way to increase his chances.
