4 wins in Minnesota Vikings history that were instant classics

With the Minnesota Vikings victorious in an instant classic against the Buffalo Bills, it joins some of the best wins in the team’s history.
The Minnesota Vikings found a way to shock the world and, quite possibly, themselves. After being down by 17 points, the Vikings rallied to a 33-30 overtime victory after Patrick Peterson sealed the Bills’ fate with an interception.
In their first game against former franchise star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Minnesota improved their record to 8-1 by defeating a Super Bowl favorite, and cementing their name as one, as well.
Minnesota will look to improve their record when they face the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday, but it’s safe to assume that their matchup in Arlington won’t be the instant classic the team just experienced in Orchard Park.
The division seems to be a lock for the team this season, and the No. 1 seed may even be in reach as well. Depending on how successful the inevitable playoff run serves for the Vikings, the game against the Bills may just be their defining moment this season.
The Vikings are no strangers to instant classics themselves, however. While the franchise has experienced heartbreaks galore, especially in numerous NFC Championship games, the purple and gold have broken the narrative of the lovable losers before.
Still, in pursuit of their first Lombardi Trophy, the Vikings’ win against the Bills may have proved their worth as Super Bowl contenders this season, but it’s not the first time fans have been lost for words due to a Minnesota victory.
