Sheldon Richardson – DL

Sheldon Richardson isn’t an unfamiliar name for Vikings fans to here, by far, with the defensive lineman having multiple stints in the purple and gold. Currently, Richardson is a free agent that could provide service for Minnesota.

The team reportedly had an interest in free agent Ndamukong Suh, who recently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Add in Robert Quinn and former Viking Linval Joseph, and Philadelphia is beefing up their defensive line.

With the tight battle for the number one seed in the NFC, Minnesota may want to do the same, especially considering the injury to Dalvin Tomlinson.

Running a 3-4 as opposed to a 4-3 for Richardson’s first two stints as a Viking, his experience this season would be quite the opposite from what he was used to, but a veteran player that’s familiar with the organization shouldn’t be something to pass up on for veteran minimum.

As of now, it seems unlikely, but considering the Vikings’ main competition’s moves, it may be one thought that is worth entertaining.
