Being the Comeback Kids wasn’t sustainable

It has been fun watching the Minnesota Vikings fight back from trailing late in a game to earn a victory but it was only a matter of time before the team wouldn’t be able to mount an improbable run to cement another victory.

Having the team continue to get huge takeaways late in games and make massive splash plays on offense would have been a lot of fun, But it’s not a realistic way to consistently win football games.

During close games, the purple and gold show a lot of heart, and last week showed that games that may even appear to be out of hand are within reach, but there are some games that pose too much of a challenge to overcome.

That’s not to say that the purple and gold can’t get back into the habit of winning some close games again later in the season, it’s just that they can’t rely on pulling off those antics every week of the season.
