Dalvin Cook – RB

It seems as though Vikings fans have been waiting all season for Dalvin Cook to have an all-around stellar game.

Against a Dallas defense that is porous against the run, many people believed that this past weekend was Cook’s chance to go off. The game script had other ideas, however, and the running back was no more than an afterthought very quickly into the game.

Cook had an impressive performance with the limited touches he was given, as his 11 carries went for 72 yards (a little over six yards per carry).

With the Vikings playing from behind very early on in the game, their rushing attack was virtually non-existent for most of the matchup, leading to Cook having a very quiet afternoon.

Though Cook hasn’t been stellar this season, this loss is hardly on him, as he was erased from the game plan very early on.

Against a strong New England defense on Thursday, it will be interesting to see if he is more heavily relied on, as the passing game this past weekend was awful due to the poor blocking performance.
