Minnesota is 8-2 and still has a big lead in the division

Despite the beatdown by Dallas, the Vikings are still 8-2 and have a huge lead in the NFC North. All they really have to do is win a couple more games and have the Detroit Lions or Green Bay Packers lose a couple more, and they’ll have their playoff spot cinched up.

Minnesota has had some bounces go their way through the first nine games of the season. They’ve also made clutch plays in clutch moments and have found ways to win games that looked like they were sure to lose.

If this happened once or twice, it can be called a fluke, but the fact this team has done it repeatedly proves that it is their identity, not a team that gets beat by 37 points at home.

Even if the Vikings do have a meltdown, the chances of them losing seven straight are next to impossible. While they have some injuries on their offensive line, there’s just too much damn talent on this squad to have another performance where all three phases of the game look uninterested in playing and then get dominated on top of it.
