Kirk can win in prime time.

Going into this game, Minnesota Vikings fans had to know the offense was to be tested all night long by a Patriots squad that boasted the NFL sack leader and was number one in several categories heading into the game

The night started out questionable for Kirk Cousins threw an interception and nearly threw another in the first half despite some decent blocking from an offensive line that was without starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw,

Cousins’ stats at the end of the night showed a player who wasn’t afraid to rise to the occasion. He completed 30 of his 37 pass attempts for 299 yards and three touchdowns to one interception all while being sacked only once.

It’s hard to know what it was that gave the Vikings’ quarterback a killer instinct on Thanksgiving, but anything less likely wouldn’t have gotten the job against the Patriots. This is a side of Kirk fans might not mind seeing a bit more of.
