Justin Jefferson is a consistent game-changer

It still feels a bit strange that the Minnesota Vikings actually got a first-round receiver pick right in the NFL Draft, but there is no denying that Justin Jefferson has been everything this franchise has wanted him to be and more.

Nine catches for 139 yards might not match Randy Moss‘ numbers from his amazing Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys, but what he did in this game was much more than what showed up in the stats.

Jefferson was routinely targeted on third downs and typically would convert on those opportunities. He caught nine of the eleven footballs thrown his way despite some of them being contested.

Minnesota converted more than half of their third-down tries and a lot of that had to do with Jefferson either making a play or drawing the defense away from where the play happened. It’s easy to say that Justin Jefferson will be a major factor in this team’s success going forward.
