Ryan Wright – P

Ryan Wright has arguably been the best Vikings rookie this season. Wright is tied for second in the NFL for punts inside the 20-yard line, showing that he is already an expert at flipping the field for Minnesota. He’s been a crucial factor in the Vikings’ success this year, and his solid play continued on Thanksgiving.

Wright was called on to punt four total times, punting the ball away three times for an average of 52.7 yards. On one of his attempts, Wright was run into by a New England defender, leading to a new set of downs for Minnesota, which led to the Vikings’ game-winning touchdown.

While Wright was hit on the play, he also did a great job of selling the contact, and that play may have won Minnesota the game.

With his booming punts, his great theatrical skills, and the high energy that he brings to the field, Wright deserves his flowers for his sustained high level of play each week.
