Can the Minnesota Vikings improve their 2022 win total to 10 when they host the New York Jets for a Week 13 matchup inside U.S. Bank Stadium?

Thankfully, the Minnesota Vikings were able to get back on track last Thursday night when they found a way to defeat a tough New England Patriots team.

It wasn’t easy, but the Vikings battled all game long, and ultimately, they came away with their first victory over the Patriots since the 2000 season.

Now, Minnesota’s attention will remain on the AFC East, but this time their focus will be on the New York Jets. The Jets looked improved last week with Mike White taking over as their starting quarterback, so the Vikings will likely have another fight on their hands this weekend inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Jets prediction Week 13

Coming into Sunday’s matchup, New York’s offense ranks 20th in the NFL in scoring, but their defense ranks fourth in points allowed. The Jets’ defense is solid in just about every phase of the game, whether it’s defending the pass, stopping the run, third-down conversion rate, or inside the red zone.

So scoring points isn’t going to be easy for Minnesota this weekend. However, the Vikings did just find a way to score 33 points against a New England defense that ranks sixth in the league in points allowed this season.

The key for the Vikings will likely come down to putting pressure on White. Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter have generated a combined 105 pressures on their own this year, according to PFF, and they’ll be taking on a Jets offense that has allowed a total of 126 pressures to opposing defenses this season.

If Smith, Hunter, and the rest of Minnesota’s defense can bring the pressure, then they should be able to capture their 10th win of the year.
