Kris Boyd – CB

On the surface, losing Kris Boyd doesn’t seem like it would hurt too much. However, his contributions on special teams have not gone unnoticed for Kevin O’Connell’s Minnesota Vikings team this season.

This year, Boyd has a good chance to be voted into the Pro Bowl for the first time for his play on coverage units thanks to a forced fumble at a fumble recovery that both came at opportune times.

Boyd has seen action in all 11 games so far for the Vikings and should return to the team since he would be a good special teamer for next year and a cornerback with defensive experience who could step in if needed.

Kris Boyd is another player on this list who would cost almost nothing against the salary cap if he were to be brought back for his fifth year in Minnesota. That makes him a good candidate to at least be brought into camp and fight for his spot on the roster.
