The Minnesota Vikings got back on track last week when they defeated the New England Patriots. The win kept them in the race for home-field advantage in the NFC and gave them an opportunity to clinch the NFC North this Sunday against the New York Jets.
When the schedule came out, many believed that the Jets would be an easy victory. However, the Jets come into Sunday’s game with a 7-4 record and are fighting for their first playoff spot since 2010.
A big reason for this is a talented roster that has been assembled by head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. With Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner becoming one of the best cover cornerbacks in the NFL and Garrett Wilson developing into a true No. 1 target, the Jets are a much bigger threat than the Vikings could have imagined.
This sets up an interesting showdown at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings would like to clinch their first division title since 2017 while the Jets will be looking to keep pace in a division where all four teams are over .500.
