Mike White will throw at least two interceptions

We talked about White in the previous slide, but his performance against the Bears is worth mentioning. With 321 yards and three touchdowns, White dominated the back page of the New York Post last week, but if you have a sense of deja vu, you’re not alone.

It was Halloween 2021 when White had a similar breakout performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. With 405 yards and three touchdowns, White was the king of New York, even if the starting job ultimately belonged to Zach Wilson.

It wasn’t long after that start that White’s carriage turned into a pumpkin. He got off to a good start the following week against Indianapolis (7-for-11, 95 yards, TD) before suffering an injury but returned to throw four interceptions against the Buffalo Bills. The biggest concern is that White’s interceptions came without any pressure at all, as five of his eight picks came with a clean pocket.

White was good enough to overcome those flaws against a Bears defense that only pressured him three times on 30 dropbacks last week, but there’s a good chance things will be more difficult against the Vikings.

With Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter likely to pressure an offensive line that ranked 26th on PFF’s Week 13 offensive line rankings, White could be more prone to turnovers that could shift the game.
