Edge rushers have a great opportunity

Outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith is ninth in the league in sacks with 9.5 and Danielle Hunter is tied or 16th with seven. They are a challenge for any opposing team’s offensive tackles, even high-level blockers.

Smith leads all edge rushers with 61 pressures and will likely face off against Duane Brown, who has struggled at left tackle. Right tackle has struggled more and Hunter should be able to find some success against rookie Max Mitchell.

This will be one area where the Minnesota Vikings should have a distinct advantage. Mike White may be a quarterback many football fans are rooting for, but playing at a high level is hard when a defender is constantly in your face.

Although these two players should be potential game-changers in every contest, they could make a very big difference on Sunday. Don’t be surprised if Smith moves up the list of NFL sack leaders after this game.
