Dalvin Cook should be able to set the tone

Yes, the Jets give up the 11th fewest rushing yards per game this season but the Jets have found some recent struggles in containing ball carriers and finishing tackles.  This week, they face a rusher who excels in making opponents miss.

Dalvin Cook ranks eighth in yards after contact per carry, meaning that he will make defenders pay who don’t wrap him up and take him to the ground securely. Expect heavy doses of the run game on Sunday.

Of course, a successful run game will set up play-action passes, which is an area where Kirk Cousins absolutely shines. It will open up deep passes for players like Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson that might not otherwise be available against a tough Jets defense.

Over the last two weeks, the Jets have accumulated 20 missed tackles, If the team misses ten against Minnesota, they will have a long day trying to slow the Vikings’ offense and get them off the field.
