A major mismatch at tight end

In the last reason, I spoke about a problem area in the middle of the Jets’ defense. It will be up ay T.J. Hockenson to be the mismatch Kirk Cousins looks to early in the game to establish the passing attack.

New York hasn’t given up a touchdown to a tight end yet this season. That could change on Sunday if Minnesota focuses on their big receiving blocker to set the tone against a solid Jets pass defense.

The Jets are ranked 22nd against tight ends but teams better against players at that position have struggled to contain Hockenson earlier this season, possibly putting a big game on his horizon in Week 13.

Hockenson will be one to watch on third or fourth down when the Minnesota Vikings absolutely need a conversion. He should see close to double-digit targets if not more during this game if they truly want to test the Jets.
