Week 16

Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Giants

The curtain comes down on the Minnesota’ Vikings’ home regular season slate with a tricky-looking game against the New York Giants. There promises to be a fantastic atmosphere within U.S. Bank Stadium for this one, but Brian Daboll’s men could be right in the thick of things regarding a playoff spot after demonstrating significant growth under his leadership.

This is not the same Giants team that’s flattered to deceive in recent years. They are better organized, and there is newfound creativity to their game plan that’s hard not to love.

Couple this with the return to full health of Saquon Barkley, and it’s not hard to see where the problems could arise if the Vikings aren’t at the top of their game. And there are also the improvements of quarterback Daniel Jones to factor into the equation.

The Vikings won’t want their regular-season engagements on home soil to end on a sour note. New York’s secondary can also be exposed, provided Kirk Cousins gets enough time to go through his progressions.

Prediction: Win (12-3)

If the Vikings can limit Barkley’s influence and put the game in Jones’ hands, they should have enough. But they’ll need to win battles in the trenches in order to secure their 12th win in 15 contests in this scenario.
