Robert Griffin III, a former teammate of Kirk Cousins, took to social media on Tuesday to share his thoughts on why the Minnesota Vikings are a good team.
Before signing with the Minnesota Vikings, Kirk Cousins spent the first six seasons of his NFL career as a member of the Washington Commanders. Cousins started his time with the Commanders in 2012 as a backup behind Robert Griffin III, but eventually, the current Vikings quarterback wound up as Washington’s full-time starter in 2015.
Fast forward to today, and Cousins is obviously the starting signal-caller for Minnesota, while Griffin has been excelling as an NFL and college football analyst for ESPN.
Believe it or not, Griffin is one of the few national analysts who believe in the Vikings this season. Instead of brushing Minnesota to the side like plenty of people have done during the last few months, Cousins‘ former teammate thinks the Vikings deserve more praise for their success so far this year.
Robert Griffin III pounds table for the 2022 Minnesota Vikings on Twitter
Griffin has clearly come across some of the people that still don’t believe in Minnesota, and on Tuesday, he took to his Twitter account to let his followers know that the purple and gold should be taken seriously.
It probably shouldn’t have taken this long, but more and more people are starting to come around to the Vikings and their success this season.
People continue to think that Minnesota can’t continue to win all of these close games, but they keep proving their doubters wrong, and ultimately, their success has just become undeniable.
Did Griffin claim that the Vikings are a top Super Bowl contender? No, he did not. But he’s basically just stating the case for a Minnesota team that deserves much more respect than they have been given by the national media this season.
