3 unsung heroes from the Vikings win over the Jets in Week 13

In a season to forget for Greg Joseph, the Vikings kicker had himself a solid day against New York. Joseph accounted for nine points in the win, hitting all three of his extra-point tries, as well as going 2-for-2 on his field goal attempts.

While the stats aren’t amazing, it was nice to see Joseph hit all of his kicks in a game where Minnesota had little wiggle room for points.

The highlight of the day for Joseph was hitting a 51-yarder to start the scoring for the Vikings, only his second field goal of at least 50 yards this season, with his other coming in Week 1.

Minnesota’s bad luck when it comes to kickers is very well documented, and many hoped that Joseph could bring stability to a position that has haunted the franchise for years. Could this game have put Joseph back on track? Vikings fans sure hope so.
